My paintings delve into misconstrued atmosphere, where the bold and outstanding contours reflect the visual satisfaction I get upon returning home; they are a prominent and static outline in which these colors can display weight and volume. These structures are truthful misconceptions of a simple material that has the possibility of carrying line and complex compositions. These images are over simplified forms containing planes that help render vibrant and vivid colors which translate the optimism of growing up in a city and an active environment in the south. Placing layer upon layer mimics the vitality and energy which emulate my enthusiasm for working with acrylics and its immediacy. Line in something consistent throughout my work, it is also an element that I gravitate towards, it is simple, concise and sets boundaries; which can either create tension or a steady flow
