This painting is a 1ft by 2ft wood panel, finished with acrylic paint, stain and varnish. It is part of a series of 1960's movie poster-inspired pieces I did in 2012. It is a partially nude female figure laid over a very mod, graphic background of robin's egg blue, red, and creamy white. Perfect for a small space in need of brightening up, or a large space in need of a small, graphic highlight piece.

Rachel Jernigan

I make very simple, acrylic paintings on wood. They incorporate colors and patterns that are nostalgic for me. I hope to provide affordable, attractive art to art enthusiasts as well as the general population. I believe art should be accessible to all, and appreciated by all. I studied ceramics and painting at Kent State University. I work from my home studio in Kent.
