The focus of this body of work is forgotten objects. I photograph the things that are left behind. Small towns hold many questions with these objects. Why was this left behind? How long has it been here? What makes it appropriate to leave behind? Why hasn’t it been picked up yet? What is said by these left over pieces of society? What do the people that left these objects consider important? What does this object say about how these people live? It is an examination and investigation of small town culture. I am interested in how people live. Moving into this area I am curious how others spend their time. And I always have more questions than answers. It is clear that people live here but yet there is a sense of abandonment and absence of life in these photographs. I aim to collect the remnants of this society.
